Bags, Bag-O, Cornhole… name differences aside, the 2009 Bags & Brews Tournament was an awesome event that brought all attendees together in friendship. Nearly 150 people came to the tournament held on July 15 at Milwaukee's Lakefront Brewery.

Due to fantastic team turn-out and generous individual donations, Best Buddies Wisconsin was able to raise over $1,500. The money from the event will support students who attend Best Buddies International Leadership Conference.

Leadership Conference is an essential part of training chapter leaders to become strong, competent and informed heads of their school's chapter.

The tournament was neck and neck right until the final round. In the end, it came down to a match between two father/son duos. Team Seefeld, Bob and Sam Seefeld, were unstoppable and took first place. Team Harry Bags, Kurt and Kyle Weisman, were noble competitors and secured the second place position.

The winner of the Consolation Bracket was team One Shots, Chad Ashley and Taj Tariq. Congratulations to all the winners!

This event was coordinated by the Best Buddies Associate Board. The Associate Board is a sub committee of the Advisory Board, and is made up of young professionals in the Milwaukee area. A special thank you goes to Shawn Rolland, the lead committee member of this event. Great job Shawn and the Associate Board!
